A barrier wall 6 is provided in the shield body 1 to divide an excavated soil chamber 7 from a machine chamber 8, an eccentric shaft 9 is arranged through the barrier wall 6, the cutter head 3 is installed to the eccentric part 9b of the eccentric shaft 9, and a gear 14 is mounted on the machine chamber side. Two or more motors 15 are arranged around the gear 14, and drive gears 16 mounted on the motors 15 are meshed with the gear 14. |
