PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch controller to reliably control shocks and judders that may occur, when a direct-coupled or slip direct-coupled state shifts to a deceleration direct-coupled state. SOLUTION: The clutch control means can switch among a non-coupled state, where the clutch is not directly coupled, a completely direct-coupled state where it is firmly coupled or a slip direct-coupled state, where it is under a feedback control so as to have desirable slippage, and a deceleration direct- coupled state where it is under a feedback control, so as to have desirable slippage during decelerating operation; when the slip direct-coupled state shifts to the deceleration direct-coupled state, the clutch control means maintains the oil pressure level supplied to the clutch, as it is, until the slippage lowers below a predetermined value; and when it has lowered below the value, temporarily drops the oil pressure and then holds the clutch under a feedback control so that desirable deceleration slippage is obtained.
