WOODY MATERIAL FOR COMBUSTION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a readily combustible woody material for combustion and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: In this woody material 1 for combustion, sections 6A and 6B of a log 2 are each provided with a pair of combustion assist channels 7 and 8 alternately when observed in the vertical direction. Spaces 9 and 10 at crossing positions of both the combustion assist channels 7 and 8 are linked to form a through hole 11 passing through a core material part 3 of the log 2 in the axial direction. Square parts at the central axis sides of parts divided by the combustion assist channels 7 and 8 are square parts 13 for ignition. Opening parts at the sections 6A and 6B of the combustion assist channels 7 and 8 are provided with air guide channels 12A and 12B. Consequently since the core material part 3 in a dry state can be readily ignited and a splint part 4 is dried by heat of combustion of the core material part 3, the woody material can be efficiently burned. Air is smoothly supplied into the through hole 11, the thickness of each part divided by both the combustion assist channels 7 and 8 is reduced and a combustion efficiency can be increased.
