PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress entering of static electricity from free terminals of signal wiring and to prevent corrosion from being generated in a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: This is a liquid crystal display device which has two substrates of a counter electrode substrate 5 and an array substrate 6 holding a liquid crystal in-between and stuck together with a sealing material 9, and in which video signal wiring 1 and scanning signal wiring 2 are arranged in a matrix form between those two substrates, and in which the free terminals of the video signal wiring and/or the scanning signal wiring 2 are coated with the sealing material 9.
