PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection system enabling an engine to quickly follow even a sudden acceleration. SOLUTION: This fuel injection system is provided with an accelerator operation detecting means (42) that at least detects an accelerator operation in a dead zone, in which an operating condition of the engine (10) is not changed, and an electronic control device (50) that is provided with a correction means that corrects a fuel injection amount as determined according to a condition detected by the accelerator operation detecting means (42). Since the accelerator operation detecting means (42) allows the accelerator operation in the dead zone to be detected, the electronic control device (50) can quickly determine the fuel injection amount. This prevents a vehicle from being only poorly accelerated as a result of a delay in the supply of fuel.
