PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable consistent welding by lower current by limiting a current- earring area of welding members to each other. SOLUTION: A resistance welding equipment comprises a pre-heating means which heats a weld part 8 of at least one weld material 1 out of a pair of weld materials 1 and 2 to change shape so as to reduce the contact area of the weld part 8, and a resistance welding means for performing the resistance welding by pressing and electrifying the weld part 8 with the changed shape by electrodes 4 and 5. By working the shape of the weld material 1 by the pre-heating means before performing the resistance welding by the resistance welding means, a part at which the weld materials are brought into contact with each other is limited, and the degree of the increase of the contact area of the pressed part can also be made constant. Thus, the stable resistance welding can be performed with lower current.
