PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide color photographic sensitive material excellent in image delineation power, particularly black-and-white character image delineation power. SOLUTION: In the silver halide color photographic sensitive material, the chromaticity of unexposed regions after color development satisfies the conditions 91<=L*<=96, 0.3<=a*<=1.6 and -8.0<=b*<=-4.8 and the chromaticity of the maximum density region of black satisfies the conditions 1<=L*<=10 and -4<=b*<=2, or in the silver halide color photographic sensitive material, reflection density A (λ) at wavelengthλnm in unexposed regions after color development is <=0.07 at 450 nm, <=0.09 at 550 nm and <=0.07 at 650 nm and the chromaticity of the maximum density region of black satisfies the conditions 1<=L*<=10 and -4<=b*<=2.
