PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for surer detection of the generation of short circuit. SOLUTION: In a step S10, outdoor temperature OTa and suction temperature OTin are collected. In a step S11, a temperature differenceΔT is calculated by subtracting the outdoor temperature OTa from the suction temperature OTin. The differenceΔT is accumulated in a step S12. Procedures in steps S10-S13 are repeated at each predetermined time, e.g. once an hour. A plurality of temperature differencesΔT are accumulated in the step S12. With reference to cooling operation, the procedures are explained as follows: in the step S13, an alienation valueσ1 is obtained by subtracting a minimum valueΔTm out of a plurality of temperature differences before the latest time from a temperature differenceΔTnow in the latest time point, and the obtained alienation value is compared with a predetermined threshold THc. If the alienation valueσ1, is greater than the threshold THc, a short circuit is decided as being generated.
