SOLUTION: This paper carrying device for carrying a paper sheet to image forming means for forming an image comprises control means for measuring a value for a rotating number R(n-1) of a roller in carrying (n-1)-th paper sheet and a paper carrying speed V(n-1) with the roller when n-th paper sheet from the beginning of paper feed is carried (n is an integer of 1 or greater) and controlling the rotating number R(n) of the roller for carrying the n-th paper sheet to be R(n)=(π×D×R(n-1)<2> )/V(n-1), where R(1) is a preset value if n=1.
