PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rationally constitute a photographic printing device which enables a test print for obtaining uniformity to the end of an exposure head. SOLUTION: The photographic printing device is provided with a sorting mechanism C which sorts and sends out photographic paper to be sent out from the exposure head A. After shifting the photographic paper which passed the region of the exposure head A by the sorting mechanism C, the photographic paper is returned to the side of the exposure head A. Thereby, a test exposure is carried out in the state where the end of the photographic paper is overhung outside from an end in the main scanning direction of the exposure area of the exposure head A. Next, the photographic paper is sent to the sorting mechanism C, and is shifted in an opposite direction by the sorting mechanism C. Then, the photographic paper is returned to the side of the exposure head A again, and the test exposure is carried out in the state where the end at the opposite side of the photographic paper is overhung outside from the end in the main scanning direction of the exposure area of the exposure head A.
