PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film excellent in printability, a polymer suitable for its raw material, a process for producing a polymer latex having an agglomerated material and a floating material removed therefrom and suitable as a raw material of the polymer, and a method of filtering a polymer latex, suitable for removing those materials. SOLUTION: In the method of filtering a polymer latex by a centrifugal filter having a constitution wherein a cylindrical filter medium is provided in the inside of a cylindrical filtration chamber, with agitating blades arranged in the filter medium, the filtration is performed under conditions satisfying the formula: (MFT-50)<=T<=(MFT-10) [wherein MFT is the lowest film- forming temperature ( deg.C) of the polymer latex; and T is the temperature ( deg.C) of the polymer latex in the filter]. The process for producing a polymer latex has a step of obtaining a polymer latex by polymerization and a step of filtering by the above-mentioned method. The polymer is recovered from the polymer latex produced by the process. The film is made from the polymer.
