PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing transparent and flexible polyester having good transparency, flexibility and handleability, which is suitable for use in molding a sheet, a film, an engineering plastic, a tube and a packing bag. SOLUTION: This method is a manufacturing method for transparent and flexible polyester that contains copolymerized polyester having a hard segment and a soft segment and a metallic compound, characterized in that the metallic compound has a melting point of 100-300 deg.C and the metallic atom belongs in the I-a group or II-a group in the periodic table, and 0.1-5.0 wt.% of the metallic compound is melted and mixed with the copolymerized polyester at the temperature between the melting point of the copolymerized polyester and the temperature 50 deg.C higher than the melting point of the metallic compound.
