PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a throw-away tip which is most suitable for utilization of throw-away tips for solving problems in conventional metal saws and can solve new problems brought about by the utilization of the throw-away tips. SOLUTION: The throw-away tip 15 detachably attached by a clamping screw 16 to a tip mounting seat 14 formed on a tool body 11 comprises a laminar sintered compact 20 bonded at a ridge line portion where an upper surface 19A of a tip body 19 having an almost rectangular parallelopiped shape intersects a tip end surface 19F of the tip body 19, wherein a cutting edge 21 is formed at a part of an ultra-high hardness sintered compact 20A of the laminar sintered compact 20 and, in addition, a concave groove portion 22, which can fit onto a projecting portion 17 formed on the tip mounting seat 14, is formed on a lower surface 19B of the tip body 19 in the range from the tip end surface 19F of the tip body 19 to a rear end surface 19C of the tip body 19, and further a through hole 23, into which the clamping screw 16 is inserted, is formed from the upper surface 19A toward the lower surface 19B.
