PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device manufacturing method by which a color filter substrate can be manufactured in high productivity with high yield by preventing adhesion of foreign matter and mixing of air bubbles. SOLUTION: The color filter substrate being a display device is manufactured by carrying out a film transferring process to form a color pattern 8 on a substrate 1, namely, by sticking the film 4 obtained by forming a colored layer 2 on the surface of a base film 3 of the substrate 1 by thermocompression bonding and then carrying out a film cutting step, a base film exfoliating step, an exposure step and a development step. The width of a thermocompression bonding roll 4 is decided such that at least two or more substrates 1 can be conveyed and processed in parallel so that the color filter substrates can be manufactured without preheating 9 the substrates 1. As a result, the adhesion of foreign matter and the mixing of air bubbles can be prevented and furthermore high productivity and high yield can be achieved. |
