PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap-type writing utensil which is free from easy loosening of an engaged screw by an external force such as vibration during carrying the writing utensil, when a cap is fitted to the forward part of a barrel and also is free from the easy coming-off of the cap from the barrel during putting the cap on the forward part of the barrel and further, has almost no restrictions on the design of the barrel. SOLUTION: When the cap is fitted to the forward part of the barrel, the projecting part for engagement of a cap body becomes engaged with the recessed part for engagement beyond the forward projecting part of the barrel, following the screw engagement between the male screw part of the barrel and the female screw part of the cap body. Further, when the cap is mounted on the rear part of the barrel, the projecting part for engagement of the cap body becomes engaged, in an irregular surface contact fashion, with the recessed part for engagement beyond the rear projecting part of the barrel. |
