PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap for a writing utensil which enables a large metal ring for decoration to be firmly fixed with an auxiliary barrel used in the case of an ordinary metal ring by making the auxiliary barrel applicable to a common use, when the large metal ring is fitted to an aperture edge, on the matching aperture side, of a cap body and can be easily assembled without a deleterious effect upon a working environment. SOLUTION: The auxiliary barrel 2 with an annular engagement part 21 formed on the outer peripheral face of the tip is arranged on the inner peripheral face of the cap body in such a state that the engagement part 21 protrudes from an aperture, on the matching aperture side, of the cap body 1. Further, a metal fixed ring 4 is arranged in such a state that the fixed ring 4 is kept in contact with a stepped part 21a, on the tail end side, of the engagement part 21 of the auxiliary barrel 2. In addition, the metal ring 3 for decoration with an engagement stepped part 31 formed on the inner peripheral face is forced into the auxiliary barrel 2 and brought into contact under pressure with the fixed ring 4, and at the same time, fixed with the engagement stepped part 31 coming into contact with the stepped part 21b, on the tip side, of the engagement part 21. |
