PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound for coating a sheet metal capable of shortening operations to remove foulings on a coated surface with an abrasive material and eliminating the need of washing operations after completion in repairing and coating operations of the sheet metal of automobiles, etc. SOLUTION: This compound for coating the sheet metal is characterized by using an RB ceramics powder and/or a CRB ceramics powder in at least a part of the abrasive material in the compound for coating the sheet metal containing the abrasive material and a detergent.
