PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arch structure of an automatic packing machine which has a wider lateral movement of an arch than the width of a band when removing the band, secures charging of the band to the total length of a band introduction groove even with twist or wind at the end of the band, and secures removement of the band from the band introduction groove. SOLUTION: A band introduction groove 5 which openes at side surface is formed on an arch 2, an arch cover 8 facing to an opened surface of the band introduction groove 5 of the arch 2 is raised and fixed, lower parts on both sides of an arch frame 6 fixed on the outside of the arch 2 so as to move integrally therewith are supported by guide mechanisms 7 for guiding the lateral movement of the arch 2, to the arch 2 and the arch frame 6 a spring force in a direction constantly returning to a position where an opening of the band introduction groove 5 are closed with an opposing arch cover 8 is urged by coil springs 24 held in compression between opposing surfaces of the arch frame 6 and the arch cover 8, and the arch frame 6 is interlocked with a lateral movement mechanism 14 of the arch 2 to laterally move the arch 2 greater than the width of the band, so that the band is removed.
