PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve heat exchange efficiency of an intercooler more than conventional heat exchange efficiency by surely preventing leaking-out of intake air unpassing through an element to the intake air exhaust chamber side from the intake air introducing chamber side. SOLUTION: This intercooler 6 comprises the element 10 that is inserted in a lower space of a casing 9 from its side and built in the intercooler. A first seal 16 for blocking a height clearance C1 for insertion work along a lower end part is applied to the lower end part of a partition wall 12 for partitioning an upper side space in the casing 9 into an intake air introducing chamber 13 and an intake air exhaust chamber 14 by extending downward from a ceiling surface of the casing 9. A second seal 17 for blocking a longitudinal clerarance for the insertion work along a longitudinal surface is applied to the longitudinal surface of the casing 9 in the same height position as the first seal 16 on the intake air introducing chamber 13 side.
