CONTACT ARM GUIDE MECHANISM FOR NAILER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide mechanism for a contact arm that prevents deformation of a contact arm at nailing whereat an adjusting mechanism for adjusting a driving depth is located on the side of a nose part. SOLUTION: An adjusting bolt 22 is arranged so that a sliding guide portion of the adjusting bolt is passed through a supporting guide portion 21 to support the adjusting bolt slidably in the axial direction of a nose. An upper end of the contact arm 23 is engaged threadedly with an adjusting thread portion of the adjusting bolt. An end of an adjusting arm 24 opposite to an upper end located near a trigger lever 16 is coupled to the adjusting bolt. An upper and a lower end of the sliding guide portion for sliding the adjusting bolt axially in relation to the supporting guide portion have stop surfaces for variably setting a top dead center and a bottom dead center position of the slide of the adjusting bolt. An energizing spring for energizing a nose top and the contact arm toward a tip of the nose part is arranged concentrically with the axis of the adjusting bolt.
