PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional ultrasonic photographic system which is capable of obtaining three-dimensional ultrasonic images of an object having a higher level of resolution and frame ratio without adopting a digital scanning conversion process by directly receiving ultrasonic echo signals and focusing them with voxels in a diagnostic region of an object corresponding to respective pixels of an image display device. SOLUTION: Included in this system are a display device 526 and transducer sequence for transmitting ultrasonic signals to the subject and receiving the above ultrasonic echo signals from the voxel I (x, y, z) existing in the diagnostic region of the object in complying with the pixel of the above display device 526 in addition to RF volume memory 506 for storing the signals received by the transducer sequence, an echo signal processing section (508, 510, 512, 514, 516, 518, 520, 522) for obtaining a group of three-dimensional data with respect to the voxel (x, y, z) and an image generation section 524 that acquisitions three-dimensional ultrasonic images in relation to the object based on the determined group of three-dimensional data.
