PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to prevent needless splash infection and cross infection and to purify waste water for disposal by installing an air-sucking and disinfecting device and a waste-water disposal device under a dental diagnostic rest. SOLUTION: This invention relates to a dental diagnostic rest with a mouth- washing board 2, under which an air-sucking and disinfecting device 3 and a waste-water disposal device 21 are provided. The suction port 31 of the air sucking and disinfecting device 3 is connected to a flexible air-sucking tube 41 above the board, at the end of which an air-sucking mask 4 equipped with a diagnostic lamp 12 is incorporated. A medical corer can adjust the air-sucking mask 4 equipped with the diagnostic lamp 13 to the best position thanks to the flexible feature of the air-sucking tube 41. Bacteria can be thoroughly disposed of to vanish by, for example, suppressing the splashes of the bacteria and preventing chemicals from volatilization, both of which occur during medical treatment, by using the air-sucking mask 4 equipped with the diagnostic lamp 12.
