PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce time and money costs in the case of producing a DNA chip corresponding to a bacterium as a discrimination object added afterwards and to maximize discrimination precision of DNA contained in a specimen even in a case wherein a unique probe can not be designed in a DNA sequence as a discrimination object. SOLUTION: When a probe is designed at the beginning, a plurality of different probes are prepared for one kind of a bacterium. When a bacterium as a discrimination object is newly added and a part of the probes is not used, the residual probes are used and discrimination is carried out. In a case wherein a unique probe can not be designed in the bacterium as the discrimination object, a plurality of probes are used to increase the probability of right discrimination. A set of probes for maximizing the probability of the right discrimination is selected by taking possibility of a plurality of kinds of bacteria existing at the same time into consideration.
