<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To designate a precise land-in point with an inexpensive constitution. SOLUTION: A gun controller 12 includes a gun trigger 14 and when a player operates the gun trigger, a CPU 30 transmits a flash signal to a game machine in response to the triggering. Then, the game machine 22 plots a flash picture on a display screen 26a. In this case, a first timing of stating plotting of the flash picture is detected based on the output variation of an intermediate range light sensor 18 and a second timing of brightening a land-in point position is detected based on the output variation of a narrow range light sensor 16. The oscillation frequency signal of an oscillator 42 is counted by an internal counter 36, and counted values at the first timing and the second timing are stored in a RAM 40. The difference between these two counted values is calculated, the coordinates of the land-in point is specified by referring to a coordinate table within a ROM 38, and data on the coordinates is transmitted to the game machine 22.</p> |
