PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant-growing hanging hook capable of growing a plant without touching its stem on the ground and capable of saving labors and reducing loads required for operation, and to provide a method for growing the plant by using the same. SOLUTION: This plant-growing hanging hook has a U-shaped stem-receiving part 1a and a hook part 1b which is connected and attached to one of both upper ends of the U-shaped stem-receiving part 1a and used for being hung by a horizontal cord. Therefore, the hook part 1b is supported by the horizontal cord for supporting the plant with simple operation, and receiving operation of the stem is simply carried out by receiving the stem with the U-shaped stem-receiving part 1a. A part of the stem-receiving part 1a to which the stem attaches is formed into an approximately flat shape so as not to damage the stem. Further, the hanging hook is preferably equipped with a hanging cord-fastening part 1c which has a notched hole 1d having such a size that a plant-inducing hanging cord passes through the notched hole but a knot formed at the bottom tip of the plant-inducing hanging cord never passes through the hole, so that the hanging hook is hung to the plant-inducing hanging cord with simplified operation.
