PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for producing coffee beverage with which the amount of ground coffee beans compressed can be precisely measured without complicating the structure of an apparatus. SOLUTION: This apparatus for producing coffee beverage detects load fluctuation of compression movement referring to the amount of ground coffee beans corresponding to the concentration of a coffee liquid by supplying ground coffee beans to a cylinder 32 where a sleeve 32B formed of a fluororesin is internally pressed and compressing the ground coffee beans based on the rising movement of a piston 39. This mechanism of the apparatus prevents detection error in the compression amount caused by sliding friction between the sleeve 32B and the piston 39 from being included in a measured value, and enables a detector such as a sensor not to be needed so that the amount of ground coffee beans compressed is precisely measured without complicating the structure of the apparatus.
