PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for cleaning exhaust gas which can improve the durability and yield of the catalyst by optimizing the concentrations of a halogen in a solution when the catalyst is adjusted and in the synthetic catalyst and a method for producing the catalyst. SOLUTION: In the catalyst for cleaning exhaust gas, the catalyst 1 for cleaning exhaust gas in which a noble metal 3 is added into a brown mirror light type complex oxide 2, when the catalyst 1 is synthesized, is synthesized while the mole ratio of the concentration of the halogen in a noble metal solution to noble metal ions is made 0.04-1.25. In the catalyst, the mole ratio of the concentration of the halogen left in the catalyst to the catalyst is 0.0025-1.875. |
