PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an coating apparatus system which makes it possible to form easily and accurately a belt-like applied surface of ink on a base material. SOLUTION: The coating apparatus system is provided with a gravure printing cylinder 12 and an impression cylinder 13. The ink contained in a cell 20 is applied onto the base material w and a linear applied surface 25 is formed by pressing the base material w with the printing cylinder 12 and the impression cylinder 13. The linear applied surface 25 on the base material w is made flat and smooth by a smoothing bar 31 driven by a smoothing bar driving mechanism part 34 and then a belt-like applied surface 26 is formed on the base material w. The viscosity of the ink supplied to the gravure printing cylinder 12 is adjusted by an ink viscosity adjustment mechanism 36. A control apparatus 40 controls the ink viscosity adjustment mechanism 36 and the smoothing bar driving mechanism part 34 in accordance with signals from an applied membrane thickness sensor 41.
