SOLUTION: In the garbage disposer which performs a volume reduction process of garbage, a disposal tank 10 which receives garbage, an intradisposal tank stirring means 13 which is provided in the disposal tank 10 and carries out the intermittent operation to repeat a stopping and stirring process at a specified period in a routine mode, a disposal tank heater 42 for heating the disposal tank 10 and a body stirring control part 32A of a control device 32 which changes the stirring means 13 to an overheating prevention mode for performing the intermittent operation whose period is shorter than in the routine mode, during heating by the disposal tank heater 42, are provided.
