PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it easy to improve handling efficiency of a reinforcing bar. SOLUTION: A reinforcing bar handling device is provided with a reinforcing bar supplying conveyer H capable of placing and conveying the reinforcing bar from a reinforcing bar cutter A to a reinforcing bar placing part C along the longitudinal direction so that the cut reinforcing bar is placed on the reinforcing bar placing part, a extracting and retracting device E capable of freely conducting extracting and retracting operation for a cutting position positioning stopper for positioning a cutting position, a reinforcing bar releasing conveyer 14 capable of placing and conveying the reinforcing bar after cutting at a release position, a release device D capable of releasing the reinforcing bar which is conveyed at the release position, a sensor 58 for detecting that the cut reinforcing bar is conveyed on a lower side in the conveying direction from the cutting position positioning stopper, and a control device F which cuts the reinforcing bar and conveys it in a state that the cutting position positioning stopper is retracted, forces the cutting position positioning stopper to protrude according to the detected result by sensor and controls the operation of the extracting and retracting device and the reinforcing bar supplying conveyer so that the following cutting reinforcing bar hits on the cutting position positioning stopper.
