PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing and drying machine for successively controlling a series of processes, i.e., washing, rinsing, dehydrating and drying which has high accurate drying detection performance and high reliability and in which non-drying or over-drying is adjusted. SOLUTION: An inner tub 4 having a rotary center axis in a vertical direction is freely rotatably supported inside an outer tub 3 which is elastically hung in a case 1. A rotary blade 6 is arranged in the inner bottom part of the inner tub 4 so as to be freely rotatable. The inner tub 4 or the rotary blade 6 is driven by a motor 10 and a warm air blowing into the inner tub 4 by a drying blower 14 and a heater 15 is circulated by a warm air circulation route 18 having a heat exchanger 12. A controller 33 controls the operations of the motor 10, the drying blower 14, the heater 5 and a cooling blower 27 for cooling the heat exchanger 12, etc., and also controls the processes such as washing, rinsing, dehydrating and drying. The controller 33 is constituted to complete drying by the amount of a temperature difference change between the inner temperature of the outer tub 3 and wall temperature.
