PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a base material for culturing cartilage exhibiting excellent promoting effects on histogenesis of a cartilage and an agent for repairing cartilage forming a cartilage capable of being transplanted to a living body. SOLUTION: The base material for culturing cartilage is obtained by combining a lipid-bonded glycosaminoglycan to a biologically absorbable porous material.
