PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire extinguishing sprinkler system, with which the prevention of water loss caused by sprinkling from a sprinkler head due to an accidental discharge can be attained preferable to sprinkling from the sprinkler head due to fire. SOLUTION: The fire extinguishing sprinkler system has a secondary side piping 2 filled with water at all the time, to which a closed type sprinkler head 1 is connected, a primary side piping 6 which connects a base end side to a main water pipe 7, and wafer flow detector 3 provided between the primary side piping 6 and the secondary side piping 2. The system is provided with a control valve which is opened at all the time and provided no primary side piping 6 and a controller 11 for outputting a closing signal for closing the control valve 5 when the water flow detector 3 operates and outputs a wafer flow signal.
