PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe, quiet and economical wash stand with excellent handleability for anyone. SOLUTION: The wash stand 10 is provided with a wash stand main body 12. The wash stand main body 12 is provided with a basin 14, a basin receiving base 16 and a cover part 18 and the basin receiving base 16 and the cover part 18 are freely turnably connected by a pivot part 13. The wash stand main body 12 is arranged so as to be moved back and forth in a vertical direction by an actuator such as a cylinder 20 for which city water or instance is used for the medium of driving power transmission. A switch means operating the actuator is provided with an operation part 128 arranged at a part of the wash stand main body 12. By raising and lowering the operation part 128, the switch means is operated and the actuator is operated.
