PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To readily obtain a sufficient drag force by making a disk scarcely cause shear deformation in a front drag type spool. SOLUTION: This spool of the spinning reel is equipped with a spool body 7, a first bearing 56, a drag mechanism 60 and a second bearing 57. The spool body 7 is provided with a cylindrical line winding barrel part 7a having a drag housing part 8 and a bearing housing part 9. The first bearing 56 is mounted between the bearing housing part 9 and a spool shaft 15 and is capable of freely rotatably supporting the spool body 7. The drag mechanism 60 is provided with a drag operating part 61 arranged in the drag housing part 8 and screwing onto the tip of the spool shaft 15 and a frictional part 62 comprising first disks 91 and 92 mounted on the spool shaft 15 unrotatably and freely movably in the shaft direction and a second disk 93 arranged alternately with the first disks 91 and 92. The second bearing 57 is mounted between the second disk 93 and the spool shaft 15 and is capable of freely rotatably supporting the spool body 7 on the spool shaft 15.
