PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand drier to be easily used by a user by making a drying chamber bright. SOLUTION: The hand drier is provided with a high pressure air stream generator 1 generating a high pressure air stream, the drying chamber 2 drying wet hands by a high-speed jet stream, an illumination lamp 9 illuminating the inside of the drying chamber 2 and an illumination control means 7 automatically controlling the illumination lamp 9. Especially when surroundings are dark, the illumination lamp 9 is automatically lighted at the time of use to illuminate the inside of the drying chamber 2 and handleability and using feelings are improved for the user.
