PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop an antimicrobial deodorant which is capable of continuously dissolving copper ions into water or an aqueous solution and is capable of persistently exhibiting an antimicrobial deodorant effect by the copper ions. SOLUTION: This antimicrobial deodorant material is formed by mixing powder composed of >=1 kind of any among copper, copper alloy and copper compound with carbon powder and forming microcells between the copper material and carbon material and is capable of effectively developing the antimicrobial deodorant effect of the copper ions by continuously supplying the copper ions into the water. The antimicrobial deodorant effect of the antimicrobial deodorant material is additionally intensified by incorporating far IR radiation ceramics powder into the antimicrobial deodorant material or incorporating photocatalyst powder, such as titanium oxide, therein or incorporating a reduction deodorant, such as ferrous salt therein. Further, the easy-to- handle antimicrobial deodorant material is provided by sintering these antimicrobial deodorant materials to a ceramic form or attaching the antimicrobial deodorant materials to a nonwoven fabric, resin sheet, woven fabric and paper and forming these materials to a sheet form. |
