PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a grading device of a combine harvester in such a manner that the aperture of a chaff sieve of a swinging grading disk increases non-linearly with increasing amount of discharged straws when the aperture of the chaff sieve is changed by a mechanical control with the detection of the amount of discharged straw in the grading device in which the aperture of the chaff sieve is automatically controlled according to the amount of discharged straws. SOLUTION: In a threshing part 4 of a combine harvester, an aperture operation wire (a chaff wire 42) of a chaff sieve 29 is linked to a detection arm 47 for detecting the amount of discharged straws, and the stroke (the amount of pulling) of the aperture operation wire 42 is increased proportionally to the amount of the discharged straws. The operation is controlled in such a manner that when the amount of the discharged straws is small, the change of the stroke is small, and when the amount of the discharged straws is large, the change is large, so that the change of the aperture of the chaff sieve 29 is also small when the amount of the discharged straws is small, and the change is large when the amount of the discharged straws is large.
