Then, a character operating specification changing means is provided. In this case, when the recorded value has exceeded an operation-starting reference value in the normal direction side, the operation specification for characters is changed in a manner to be more advantageous. Then, when the recorded value has exceeded a specified stopping reference value for which the operation-starting reference value is displaced by a specified width in the opposite direction, in the opposite direction side, the specification is returned to the original specification by the character operating specification changing means.</p>
