The support (6, 7), designed to hold reinforcing rods (12, 13, 14) in position inside a mould (1) used for casting a hollow reinforced concrete component, has a central part (8) that can be suspended over at least one internal lengthwise shuttering element (2, 3), and one or more hooked ends (10, 11). The central part of the support can be in an inverted U-shaped with a recess (9) for an upper reinforcing rod (14), while the hook-shaped ends can hold lower rods (12, 13). The support can be made e.g. from cold-formed stainless steel bar.
