CARD TRUE/FALSE DECISION APPARATUS

A card true/false decision apparatus for deciding whether a card (1) having a predetermined hologram in accordance with the type of the card 1 (1) is true or false according to the hologram. The card true/false decision apparatus comprises a measuring light projection system (semiconductor laser 25a, collimator lens 25b) for projecting measuring light to the hologram, an area sensor (28) for receiving reflected/diffracted light reflected by the hologr am of the measuring beam P, a plurality of decision calculation means (30 to 32 ) for performing calculations corresponding to various holograms in accordance with a signal from the area sensor (28) so as to decide whether the card (1) is true or false, and selection means (selector switch 24, switch circuit 29 ) for selecting one of the plurality of decision calculation means (30 to 32).
