CARBON BLACK COATING FOR CRT DISPLAY SCREEN WITH UNIFORM LIGHT ABSORPTION

PURPOSE: A carbon black coating for a CRT display screen with uniform light absorption is provided to achieve an optical coating for the outer surface of a CRT display screen having improved light absorption characteristics. CONSTITUTION: An electrically conductive coating includes a thin layer of a solution of carbon black particles having a black appearance and disposed on the outer surface of the device's glass display screen(14), and a blue additive dispersed in the carbon black solution to reduce absorbance of blue light by the carbon black and provided substantially uniform color absorption by the carbon black solution over the visible light spectrum.
