PURPOSE: A backlight inverter of a liquid crystal display device is provided to simplify the circuit arrangement and stably carry out the output control for the change of an input voltage when a corresponding lamp is opened among at least more than two lamps while preventing the malfunction in the initial operation. CONSTITUTION: A backlight inverter of a liquid crystal display device includes a filtering element(C3) for filtering feedback signals which sense the size of a voltage according to on/off states of respective backlight lamps(Lamp1,Lamp2), a rectifying element for rectifying the plurality of feedback signals output from the filtering element, a switching control element for controlling on/off states of a buck switch, and a transistor(Q1) for receiving the feedback signals in common by a base terminal and carrying out on/off operations according to a voltage state of the base terminal, wherein the switching element is shut down by the off operation of the transistor.
