PURPOSE: A method and a system for a notarization service using an e-mail are provided to realize the notarization for the document deliver like a contents certification service of a post office by using the e-mail. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a mail server(31) to communicate the e-mail between each user terminal(10-1¯10-n) connected through the Internet(20), the first database(33-1) storing the notarization information for certifying the e-mail communication, the second database(33-2) storing the information related to the notarization execution, and a notarization server(32) managing the first and the second database and carrying out the notarization. The mail server transfers the e-mail transmitting a signal informing the unsealing to a receiver terminal and transmits the notarization information to the notarization server if the unsealing signal is received from each receiver terminal. The notarization server stores the notarization information from the mail server in the first database, transfers a certificate to a requestor by searching the notarization information from the first database, and stores the notarization execution information in the second database.
