PURPOSE: An automatic shifting control unit and method according to the propensity to driving is provided to reflect the will of acceleration of a driver by making shift line achieved according to the propensity of the driver. CONSTITUTION: An automatic shifting control unit(100) according to the propensity to driving of a driver comprises a unit for deciding the propensity to driving(110) and a unit for deciding a shift line(130). The unit for deciding the propensity to driving receives a throttle valve position signal(S1) supplied from the outside, the average value of the throttle valve position signal(S2), the changed volume of the throttle valve position signal(S3), the average of the changed volume of the throttle valve position signal(S4), and an output speed signal(S5), unites with a fuzzy set of the propensity to driving after calculating with a membership function, and produces a signal of the propensity to driving. The unit for deciding a shift line takes the signal of the propensity to driving, decides a shift line, and transmits the shift line to an automatic shifting unit(200).
