PURPOSE: A back washing control apparatus using particle counter for water purification plant is provided to minimize contamination of a filter tank, thus supply clean water stably by measuring various variable factors on change per particle sizes, filtering efficiency per particles and pressure difference from water before and after filtering. CONSTITUTION: In a water purification plant(10) comprising a filter tank(20) which is equipped with a filter chamber that is divided into a plurality of filter chambers, and in which a filter layer for filtering raw water supplied from a reservoir into drinking water is installed in the filter chamber; and a back washing apparatus(60) that is installed at the filter tank to wash the inside of the filter tank when water pollution factors are generated, the back washing control apparatus(100) using particle counter for water purification plant comprises a water particle analysis means(200) for calculating analysis values for controlling operation of the back washing apparatus as analyzing whether particle sizes and filtering efficiency per particles at upper and lower parts of the filter layer are changed or not from water flown in from the upper and lower parts of the filter layer of each of the filter chambers through respective independent lines; and a control means(400) comprising a computer for generating signals for controlling operation of the back washing apparatus as controlling results of the analyzed values inputted from the water particle analysis means by forming an electrical circuit with the water particle analysis means and the back washing apparatus.
