PURPOSE: A method for maintaining the PC security of a booting control method using a pre-secure OS file system is provided to cut off a PC from an access of an illegal user by making the user not omit a user authentication process during a booting process and carrying out the user authentication always through the pre-secure OS file system on a master boot record of a hard disk. CONSTITUTION: A CPU decides that a state of the hard disk installed to the PC is a master or a slave state(110). In case of the slave state, a 'HDD(Hard Disk Drive) hide' function not to recognize the hard disk through an 'OSL file system checking' process is executed(180). In case of the master state, the booting process is executed, and an 'OSL(Operating System Location) loading' process is executed through the OSL file system checking process(120,130). In the user authentication process, an access of the illegal user can not pass to the OS and can not read the information stored in the PC by the 'PC hide' function(180). In case of a regal user, the CPU executes the OS by reading an activated boot record through a 'convert to original file system process'(150,160).
