The invention relates to a method and device for amplifying the Coanda effect. According to the invention, the method of amplifying the Coanda effect, provides the increasing of the deviation angle and of the amount of fluid entrained from the environment, by creating an underpressure zone around a slot, said underpressure zone sucking up the fluid jet and directing it towards a shutter. According to the invention, the amplifying device for applying the method has a flared nozzle (1) and a shutter (2) which communicates through a channel (3) with an upstream low- static pressure zone, thereby creating an underpressure zone around a slot (4).
