PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a terminal network controller adaptable to a telephone line utilizing a xDSL(x Digital Subscriber Line) so as to attain data transmission and high-speed modem communication simultaneously. SOLUTION: When the terminal network controller 2 is in a standby state, a voice band signal and a high-speed modem communication signal bypass a low pass filter 20 and pass through a 1st line 25, pass through the terminal network controller 2, and are set to a splitter through a 2nd line 26 to conduct a call and high-speed modem communication. When the terminal network controller 2 makes communication, a changeover relay 29 is driven to validate operations of the low pass filter 20 and a high pass filter 21. The high-speed modem communication signal passes through the high pass filter 21, the voice band signal passes through the low pass filter 20 so that the terminal network controller 2 can make data transmission without giving affect on the high-speed modem communication signal.
