PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation stopper structure of stator core in submerged motor, which does not require boring a through-hole from the outer circumferential surface of a motor frame and assures superior workability and watertightness. SOLUTION: A key groove 2 is provided vertical to the external circumferential surface of the stator core 3. A hole groove 6, guided from the internal circumferential surface, is provided horizontally to an end edge of opposite load side of the motor frame 1. The rear end portion of a key 4 inserted into the key groove 2 is formed to an outer engaging claw 5 to be engaged with the hole groove 6. The stator core 3 is inserted with pressure into the motor frame 1, so that the rear end portion of the key groove 2 is connected orthogonally to the internal end portion of the hole groove 6. The engaging claw 5 of the rear end portion of the key inserted to the key groove 2 is engaged with the hole groove 6. A joint edge of a head cover 7, mounted like a cover to the end edge of the opposite load side of the motor frame 1, is provided opposed with each other to the rear surface of the engaging claw 5.
